Yes, we're back in Houston! And we been back for just over two weeks, and life still is not back to normal! But we had a wonderful visit home, it was a blessing to see everyone! I really enjoyed just hanging out and chatting with people, drinking coffee with people I've known longer than 6 months and eating really sweet foods!
Christmas was a reminder not only of Christ's birth but how much mercy has been poured out among our friends and family. It was so crazy to see changes and such after being away for a time. Not only was it neat to see what had changed in PA, it was also very enlightening to see how my new husband and I had changed and are really becoming our own. Quite exciting! We also had a good time with some great friends who described to us some of their marriage beginnings and happenings... we can't believe how similar ours mirrored theirs!!! We laughed the whole way home in the car and my other frequently mentions "the aura" issues. (You know who you are!)
Other fun bits of our trip was seeing my sister and hanging out with my Mom. We were also able to see some family friends which I had missed dearly! There is now not 2 marriages, but three happening this summer! Mr. Hulk-want-a-be (aka my husband) has a younger sister getting married to a long time friend in July sometime. She actually found the dress over Christmas break and is quite determined to make her own wedding cake. There's no doubt she can, she made ours, however it seems like a lot of stress to add to a busy bride-to-be's schedule!
Yup, so we're in Houston, and you think it would be happy to have us, but I'm not sure... 'Mr. Hulk' got sick for most of the week last week, right after New Years. Then it was my turn this week, however with a really bad head cold, and not the flu. I'm hoping that we can call next week a sick free one. We did fine over the weekend and recovered our dining room chairs, they needed it BADLY!! We found some really nice fabric, it's a pink/red leaf like design on a green/brown background... it's also been treated for spills and such, which the old fabric was not, nor was the fabric under that... lets just say we hoped that it was water damage and not some other things your imagination might lead you to think.
So the new chair is on the left, old chair: right. It makes a huge difference, I think we've re-glued all the chairs but one, it will surely need it soon. However we hope that they will last for a good few years! It's bee good to have them, when we first moved, everyone was over constantly to eat and play games... mainly because we were the only ones out of the gang with table and chairs!

So, in the re-design of the livingroom, I placed my favorite rocking chair in the corner where a bookshelf used to be. I demo-ed to the mr. how when watching t.v. it could be pulled over, and when not watching it could be put back and a very nice reading corner. I said,"You can sit and read if you don't like the show I'm watching." He replied, "It's all about the aura isnt it?" I think the corner has just been dubbed the other day "The Aura Chair."
