Lights in Texas

As we have been placed in a new culture, we are learning many new things. Like how Texas gets ready for Christmas. It can be very interesting, some times tasteful, many times not. However there are a few areas of town that I had to share with you. This pictures are of two sections of "inner loop" Houston. Both sides of the streets are lined with palm trees and they are all decked out for the holidays. Again, sorry for the rough pictures, I tried but it was even worse due to the fact that we were in a car driving.. at the tail end of rush hour.. so NO slowing down, this is the best I could do!

Yes, so there are some Christmas lights, here are a few lights that we really like! The next two are of bridges that span across Highway 59, there are about 7 or 8, but these are my favorite two. The artist Dan Flavin installed lights and they CHANGE color, it's awesome!! I really like them.

And ONE more for you!! This is Chuy's, our of our favorite places to eat!! It's a great sign, please notice the flashing Texas shape in the top of the sign. You see these types of signs a lot down here, it's like a tacky/cowboy version of Las Vegas. Sorry you can't read the WHOLE sign, there was a palm in the way...
