And the sun makes an apperance

Yes, the sun is shining today! So wonderful! The weather was getting rather depressing. This is the first day of sun we've had in almost a week, and it doesn't sound like it will stick around for too long. But, it is still good to have it brighten things up. And dry up these massive puddles we get! I really enjoy them when I'm wearing my red galoshes, however, without them the puddles are cruel long deep cold areas of water trying to gobble you up for dessert. There's nothing better, really, than stepping out of the car into an 8 inch deep puddle that is so big and wide that trying to avoid it would simply result in misjudging it's depth and hurting your ankle.

Actually, my favorite puddle here in Houston was almost dry today. I was completely shocked as this normal body of water remains for days on end. It lives at the gate nearest to the mailboxes. The hard part is, you must give in to the puddle in order to punch in the key code to unlock the gate. There is no leap - push gate - land on the other side trick, I've tried. And you can only do this while leaving from the mail area, and one still has to turn the heavy doorknob. The puddle extends from both sides of the gate an average of 2.5 - 3 feet. However on certain occasions, one might see it grow even larger. The best part is NO ONE can avoid it! We reside in a gated community, you one can only enter and exit through the keypad gates, and thus, this is why the puddles love living under the gates, they get lots of DESSERT!

Nice, so now the puddle gets dessert, and you get cold, wet, soggy socks. The puddle gets the better end of deal, every time, hands down. Deal with it... I guess, or wear your red wellies!!!

Hahahahaha! I loved reading this. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything, else it might have come out of my nose!
