It's good to be back in Texas. I think it's finally okay having me back! It rained for the first 5 days that I was home. But I kinda of missed the hard heavy rain of Houston. Traveling was good. The wedding was great, the floor my mom and I re-did looks awesome, my drop spindle yarn is improving, and the time with family and friends was invaluable!
Oh, there was only one plant tragedy during all the traveling. I think I might survive. JD did try. I know he did, because the plant died of over watering, not under watering... the poor plant was swimming. But the rest of the mini garden on the concrete slab outside are doing very well!! I enjoy having some plants to look after.
New weaving and printing ideas have been flooding my mind's eye since being in Pennsylvania. This also happened in March when I had some time to step away from the material - while my loom and equipment was folded up for a week. Anyway, this surge of ideas has been exciting, I hope that a few of them happen soon. My main obstacle right now is finding a print shop to expose silk screens for me and not print them... so I can print them... apparently they don't like to give up their screens, and I don't blame them. So I'm planning on joining the Houston Weaving Group and maybe I can gain some idea or connections. I'll take any suggestions, please!
