I really am enjoying my mornings. I'm not a morning person. People have told me many times that teaching and/or having a baby will change that. Teaching did NOT help make me a morning person, ask the students I taught. I would repeat things, read poorly, and then apologize for my lack of energy (with or without coffee). However, having a baby is slowly starting to change this. The day just goes better when I get myself up and moving with Penny, instead of letting her play next to me while i take awhile to wake up - or fall back asleep. Plus - her naps in the morning are much better this way. I look forward to making coffee, checking the weather and loving my little plants on the concrete slab outside of our apartment. First flower on the vinca appeared today! It's been warm.
Happenings here have been many! Penelope is 6 months old this week and growing. JD and I are tickled pink by her everyday. Words can't describe it - I'll leave a photo.
My brain is constantly swimming with ideas to create, sew, weave, and yes - even cook! So I've started a few of them. One of my very best of friends has challenged me to do atleast a minute of 'creative' work for every load of laundry I do. It's been good to have a balance and helps with the motivation to get stuff done. I'll soon be able to share some of it on here.. we'll see how far we get. The latest completed project would be flannel shoes for a little nephew and a felt banana! I would post photos of the banana but I already gave it away to some favorite little friends of mine. It has a removable peel and everything! Oh, and I finished stitching a felt carrot too... fun fun felt food, it has been a hit for our friend's girls - they got a play kitchen and it needs some groceries. Anyway, most of all the baby gear we have been given has come from these girls, so I'm excited to make them some play food.
Okay, well I'm going to post this. For real this time (I tell myself)...

**picture from this weekend. JD helped plant olive trees at a friend's lavender farm, we (Penny and I) tried to help too. It was so windy and was sprinkling off and on, we got a bit done... I think she enjoyed the ride**

Yay, for you!!! I have you saved on my "Google Reader," so any updates pop up on my iGoogle page. I was so excited to see a new post. Your daughter is beautiful!!!
I'm glad you're still being your creative self. If you make more fruit, I'd love to see those pics! I'm sure those girls are very happy with their new peelable banana. I'm impressed!!! But it's not shocking, since you are pretty amazing at that stuff.
I miss you and no love.
