"Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot; others transform a yellow spot into the sun." ~Pablo Picasso

Yes! The sun was out today -the WHOLE DAY! No clouds, no crazy rain! It was great and everyone knew it! People were out and about, including us. It was a hot sun but there was a nice breeze that kept it a bit cooler. For the first time in a long while, and since I can honestly remember, when we passed the Bark Park, the 'lakes' of water and mud that all the dogs would roll in were totally dried up.

Other than that, JD's working on his game again. We went out and found some fun new dice to use. The new game board is 3-D and a bit smaller. Which is good - it makes the game go faster. His goal is to complete 3 missions in order to win points and you might need 5 points to win the game. However, the last practice game was the first time that a single mission was completed on the 'faster' version of the board, and it still took 4 hours. So he's fixing it again.

In the meantime I worked on planning some weavings and sewing ventures. I also worked on 'editing' some long sleeve shirts of mine that I will now wear! After going through one whole drawer of long sleeve shirts, I pulled the ones that I actually wore last year - a total of 4 - and the other three, I'm converting into more wearable short sleeved shirts. Fun stuff... so that's almost done. I miss colder weather - I think..

So now I'm thinking about taming the crazy plant which is overgrowing onto our little concrete slab known as our porch. Right now it's hiding the three plants that died after some workers sprayed a bee hive. The plants were covered in weird dust and piles of dead bees... ya, I'm too freaked out to deal with them yet. But I can cut back the crazy plant. I've cut about 50% of it back the last two times, and it comes back like crazy... it's the crazy bright green leaves the size of doormats. I think I might make some prints with the leaves before I throw them out. We'll see, until then another cup of coffee sounds great.

so is jd inventing his own game?

those leaves are ginormous.

we have a rosemary bush that grows so tall it blocks our precious light...we cut it down to a nub and it grows again...
