It has been in the low 80's here for the past week or more. The air conditioning was turned on to 80º to simply get some of the moisture out of the air. Plus if you do anything that uses heat in our little kitchen, the whole apartment heats up! But, none the less, it's nice out. It's usually the time that if starting seedlings, my Mom would start them inside. Sitting them on the dryer or on top of the fridge for some heat and humidity. The flowers here are all coming up all ready. The flowering bushes are beginning to lose their blooms this week.
Anyway, I was inspired. Or at least interested to have a little garden. So I got some ideas and we went to home depot and got some window box liners, seeds, a bulb, and some dirt. (I've never really grown a bulb and wanted to try) And the adventure starts. Not even two weeks ago we plant the seeds in the dirt and leave them outside. I researched the bulb for a while before we even got it to make sure I didn't plant it upside down. With in two little days, sprouts for the seeds are coming up! They will need to be thinned out by next week. However, I kept waiting for the bulb to show little shoots of life. I was reading and searching for information to tell me about how long it might take to see something come out of this pot! Alas, today I go to check them out and there are 3 whole little shoots starting to pop out of the dirt! So cool! Yea, I'm that excited about the little green things...
Oh, and our neighbors had their baby the other day, a week ago from today! Very exciting. A beautiful healthy little girl and Mom are doing very well! The new 'big sister' is still adjusting to the change, but is very happy that her grandparents are visiting from Norway. And they even brought ME some chocolate from Norway!! My dear friend told them to bring some for us... We visit with each other a few times a week and somehow always have a small bit of chocolate! Any way it was a real treat, don't worry I shared some of it with JD.
I'm still warping my latest weaving and planning some printing ideas to use the new setacolor fabric paint/dyes I recently got. I'll let ya know how it goes.

I never ever do well planting seeds...they always get so far, and then die on me. (I'm jealous of the norweigan chocolate. lucky you!) :P
