i'm not even going to think about the last time i posted... it seems like ages ago. so a fresh start.

changes and happenings:

• we moved!
• bought our first house
• drove to the east coast and back
• replaced the air conditioner in the car
• still missing all of June's mail
• someone around here turned 3!!!
• plenty of unpacking
• resorting and moving piles, but only a few boxes left
• hot hot hot hot hot HOT HOT HOT HOT weather... today's high: 107
• went to the beach :)
• finished the quilt block and shipped it off
• had special time with FAMILY!
• ate some very very tasty peaches this summer
• broke my french press, so sad! (good thing i had a one cup press for back up! and a drip brewer too...)
• bought an aeropress and am excited to try it out! (that may not be the exact name for it)
• read a lot of books while at the hotel
• oh yea, we lived in a hotel for 3 weeks, so fun....
• wondered why i had not read Jane Eyre sooner!!! what a story! loved it *note* if you haven't read it, stop what you're doing and reserve it at the library - i mean it
• missing family and friends from back home and in Houston
• been raking and sweeping up lots of leaves
• am excited and overwhelmed at making design choices over rugs, curtains, where pictures should go, my brain is like mush at the moment
• still debating a second car purchase, the bus route is reasonably priced, but the time is not great, one hour on bus vs. 20 minutes of car and walking to building from garage, so a 40 minute difference each way
• love love love skype :)
• having fun recovering chairs, and enjoying the iron-on vinyl stuff to make them easy to clean
• waiting for the weather to cool down so we can be outside! and clean out our new back yard... it needs HELP
• Ellie has 4 new teeth, all of which popped through the gum at my parents place
• i'm in extreme need of baking some biscotti! huge lack at the moment of things to dip in my coffee... and must not open the sweetzels yet! (it's too hot to enjoy their full yumminess)
• laughing at the time estimate for the pictures to download onto the computer: 108 minutes!!!
• pictures shall come, but not today
• back to my lists...
